Frequently asked questions

Everything shoppers ask us most — about the range, materials, food safety, copper tape, drinks packaging, ordering, delivery and returns. Can't find it? Get in touch.

About the range

What kinds of packaging does WRAPMEADOW sell?
WRAPMEADOW sells six focused ranges: recyclable kraft food pouches (resealable, heat-sealable, windowed and windowless), self-adhesive copper foil tape, plastic-free kraft paper tape, printed wine gift bags, protective bottle packaging (inflatable air-cushion sleeves and double-walled bottle boxes), and sturdy beer and wine carrier boxes. Everything is priced in GBP and dispatched from the UK.
Can I order small quantities, or is there a minimum?
You can order by the pack with clear GBP pricing — there is no large minimum order, so small food makers, brewers, makers and gift sellers can buy exactly what they need. For a bigger run, see our wholesale & trade page or get in touch and we'll help you plan quantities.

Materials & recyclability

Are the kraft pouches, tape and boxes recyclable?
Yes. Our kraft pouches, boxes and paper tape are made from kraft paper and board — a renewable, widely recyclable material. Kraft paper tape is fully recyclable with the box it seals, and the carrier boxes are plain board you can recycle kerbside in most UK areas.
Is paper tape better than plastic packing tape?
Yes, for recyclability. Kraft paper tape can be recycled together with the cardboard box it seals, so the whole parcel goes in one recycling stream. Plastic packing tape has to be peeled off first because it contaminates cardboard recycling, which is why paper tape is the lower-waste choice for sealing boxes.
What can I use instead of bubble wrap for bottles?
Reusable inflatable air-cushion bottle sleeves are a low-waste alternative to bubble wrap. The clear sleeve inflates into rows of air columns that cradle the bottle, deflates flat for storage, and pairs with a double-walled kraft bottle box so the whole parcel protects the bottle without single-use plastic.

Food pouches

Are the food pouches safe for food?
Yes. The kraft stand-up pouches are food-grade and designed for dry goods such as coffee, tea, snacks, granola and spices. They are resealable with a zip-lock and heat-sealable for a tamper-evident finish.
What size kraft pouch do I need?
Match the pouch to your fill weight rather than its dimensions alone. As a rough guide, a 90 × 140 mm pouch suits ~50–100 g, 110 × 185 mm around 100–250 g, 130 × 210 mm about 250–500 g, and the larger 170 × 240 mm and flat-bottom pouches hold roughly 500 g–1 kg. Our kraft pouch guide has the full sizing rundown.

Copper tape

What is the copper tape used for?
Our copper foil tape is self-adhesive and conductive. People use it as a slug and snail barrier around plant pots and raised beds, for stained-glass and Tiffany work, for shielding guitar cavities and electronics, and for craft and model-making. It comes in five widths from 5 mm to 50 mm.
What width of copper tape should I buy?
Match the width to the job: narrow 5 mm and 10 mm tape suits stained glass and fine craft; 20 mm and 24 mm are good all-rounders for shielding and general use; and 50 mm is best for slug barriers and lining larger surfaces where you want an unbroken band.

Wine & beer packaging

How many wine gift bag designs are there?
There are 21 printed wine gift bag designs to choose from, sized to fit a standard single wine bottle. The range spans festive, floral and classic styles so you can match the bag to the occasion or your brand.
Will a beer carrier box fit cans as well as bottles?
Yes. The carrier boxes are sized for 330 ml and 500 ml bottles and cans, in 3-bottle and 6-bottle layouts, so they suit both glass bottles and standard cans of those volumes.

Ordering, delivery & returns

How are orders, payment and delivery handled?
You build your basket here, then complete checkout securely on our hosted checkout — no card details are entered or stored on this site. Orders before 2pm on a weekday are dispatched the same day, and prices are shown in GBP including tax.
How much is delivery and how long does it take?
Standard UK delivery takes 2–5 working days and express takes 1–2 working days, sent via Royal Mail and DHL. Express delivery is free on orders over £50. Full details are on our delivery & returns page.
Can I return an order?
Yes — you have 14 days from receiving your order to return unused, re-sellable items if you've changed your mind. You're responsible for return postage, and some items can't be returned where we can't re-sell them as new, so please email us first. If an item is damaged or faulty we'll replace it free of charge.
Can I place a wholesale or trade order?
Yes. Message us with the ranges, sizes and quantities you need and we'll help you plan it. See our wholesale & trade page for how it works.
